Rules for Sporting Rifle Competition

1. Only rifles equipped with sights that don’t offer magnification of the target
are allowed.
2. The competitor will fire 10 rounds at the IVI sporting rifle competition
target showing five (5) bullseye targets.
3. The competitor will attempt to hit each bullseye target with two rounds.
4. Excess rounds on any specific target will be penalized by removing the
highest scoring hit on that target.
5. An extra hit anywhere on the paper, outside any actual bullseye, will be
penalized by removing the highest scoring hit on the whole sheet.
6. In the event of a tie, a tie breaking shoot-off will be held to break the tie.
7. The tie breaking shoot-off will be the same course of fire shot with a
progressively decreasing time period until the tie is broken.
8. The competitor with the highest score wins.
9. Shooters may shoot standing, sitting at the table or on the floor, kneeling at
the table or by themselves.
10. Only the competitor’s elbows can be in contact with any man-made
structure used for support. The rifle must be supported by the shooter
only.
11. The bullet diameter outline, using a gauge, must touch the outside line of a
higher scoring zone in order to get the higher score.

 

Rules for Battleship Challenge C-o-F

1. Competitors are allowed to use a rifle equipped with sights that magnify
the target. Competitors using rifles with sights that don’t magnify the
target may attempt the CoF, but will compete against those with rifles
equipped with magnifying sights.
2. All shots are taken from the shooting stalls.
3. Each competitor fires only 15 rounds.
4. Excess hits on the target sheet will be penalized by removing the hit on the
target that offers the most advantage to the shooter, i.e. the highest
scoring ship.
5. Each round target on a ship must be hit by one bullet in order to sink the
ship.
6. Each hit on a target will score one point.
7. Each sunk ship will reward the competitor with the following “bonus”:
A. Aircraft carrier (5 targets): 25 points,
B. Cruiser (4 targets): 20 points,
C. Destroyer (3 targets): 15 points,
D. Corvette (2 targets): 10 points,
E. PT boat (1 target): 5 points.
8. A competitor that sinks all ships on his/her target will score an additional 10
points.
